Spaghetti and meatballs Recommended Video Spaghetti and meatballs has to be one of the most fun dishes ever invented, at least from a kid's perspective. Spaghetti and Meatballs--nearly everyone's favorite "Italian" dish--is truly international fare. I make Martha's spaghetti sauce recipe from her "Comfort Food" cookbook with San Marzanos from our summer garden.

Ingredients of Spaghetti and meatballs

  1. You need Half of pkt spaghetti.
  2. It's 500 gm of mince meat.
  3. It's 1/2 of Chopped carrot.
  4. It's 1 of Chopped onion.
  5. You need 2 of Chopped tomatoes.
  6. It's 3 cloves of garlic crushed.
  7. Prepare of Tumeric powder.
  8. It's of Curry powder.
  9. You need 2 of heaped tablespoon maize flour.
  10. Prepare 1 of small egg.
  11. It's of Soy sauce.
  12. You need of Black pepper powder.
  13. It's to taste of Salt.

Spaghetti and meatballs step by step

  1. Let's start marinating the mince meat. Place the mince in a bowl, add black pepper powder,salt, curry powder, dashes of soy sauce/ vinegar, maize flour and egg. Mix all this together and then make balls by rolling with your palms to shape the meat. Set aside for later..
  2. Prepare the ingredients so its easier and nothing burns inbtwn. Remember always cook on low heat...
  3. In a sufuria, heat some oil. Add the onions, garlic and simmer for a few. When onions turns translucent add the carrots for 2 min. (I like to add crushed green chilies for flavour at this point. But its optional).
  4. Next add the chopped tomatoes and allow to cook through. Add more of the spices to this mix, curry powder, salt. Then a tablespoon of tomato paste and some water to cook through. Place the meatballs in gently and allow to cook gently on slow heat without stirring as u will break the meatballs.
  5. After 10-15 min u can now gently stir. Add some water if you need some soup to it. Switch off the heat and sprinkle chopped Dania..
  6. Boil your spaghetti in salted water. Drain the excess water when ready and add a tablespoon of margarine to avoid sticking..
  7. Serve hot..

Crumble the meat over mixture and mix well. To freeze separately, put sauce in freezer bags, but open-freeze the uncooked meatballs on a tray, then wrap in cling film once hard. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushrooms, and remaining oregano, garlic powder, black pepper, and basil. Spaghetti and Meatballs is a classic comfort food and pretty much everyone's favorite.
