  9. You need 1/2 tsp of hot sauce such as Franks brand.
  10. It's 1/4 cup of grated romano cheese, parmesan can be substituted.
  11. It's 1 tbsp of butter.
  12. Prepare of Topping.
  13. You need 2 of slices bacon, precooked just slightly, to render some of the fat.
  14. It's 1/4 cup of romano or parmesan cheese, grated.
  15. You need 2 of green onjons, sliced.

Spaghetti Squash Gratin instructions

  1. Line a baking pan with foil. Preheat the oven to.425.
  2. Place squash on prepared pan cut a deep slit in the top with a sharp knife to vent..
  3. Roast until.very tender. A knife should slide in easy. It takes about an hour depending on the size.
  4. Cut in half and remove all seeds.
  5. With a fork remove squash strands to a bowl.discard skin..
  6. Butter a 9 inch baking pan. Have oven at 425.
  7. In a medium skillet melt butter, add onion and garlic and soften, add cream, broth, lemon, pepper,salt, cajun seasoning and hot sauce. Bring to a boil cook 1 minute. Remove from heat and add romano cheese. Pour mixture over squash in bowl and mix well..
  8. Put this mixture into baking dish. Top with bacon, cut into pieces, the romano or parmesan cheese and green onions..
  9. Bake until.hot and bacon is crisp and cheese has melted, serve hot..

Funny story side note: when Lauren was little she apparently pronounced Au Gratin to sound like "hog rotten" - She may kill me but she STILL pronounces it that way.
