- It's 1 (14 oz) of can diced tomatoes.
- It's 1 (6 oz) of can tomato paste.
- It's of Olive oil.
- It's 1 tsp of basil.
- It's 1 tsp of italian seasoning.
- Prepare 1 tsp of garlic powder.
- You need of Spinach (measurement varies by person).
Penne Pasta with Homemade Tomato Sauce and Spinach step by step
- Fill a saucepan halfway with water and pour in pasta. Do not boil yet.
- Take another saucepan and pour in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and tomato paste. Mix. Slowly add in basil, italian seasoning, garlic powder, and 1 tbsp olive oil.
- Cook noodles on medium high heat until done.
- Simmer sauce on low heat until it starts to bubble.
- While noodles and sauce cook, get a skillet and sauté spinach using olive oil. Garlic powder optional.
- Plate pasta, sauce, and spinach. Enjoy!.
