I looked everywhere for a good mushroom alfredo.
I used to saute the mushrooms and add them in, but they just weren't as good as I hoped.
After some experimentation I came up with this recipe for my Mother-in-Law's birthday party and it was unbelievable.
Ingredients of Alfredo mushroom penne pasta
- You need 450 gms of uncooked penne pasta.
- You need 1/2 kg of boneless chicken.
- Prepare 1 of whole capsicum.
- It's 2 of medium carrots.
- It's 5-6 of button mushrooms.
- You need 2 cups of milk.
- Prepare 4 tbsp of softened butter.
- Prepare 2 tbsp of flour.
- It's 1 cup of chicken broth.
- You need 1/2 cup of heavy cream.
- You need 2-1/2 tsp of salt.
- You need 2 tsp of black pepper.
- Prepare 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
- You need 1 tbsp of soy sauce.
- Prepare 1 tsp of paprika.
Alfredo mushroom penne pasta instructions
- Cut boneless chicken into small cubes marinate it with soy sauce 1 tsp salt,pepper and paprika leave it on for 2 hours.
- Boil the pasta and drain the water.
- Cut the vegetables Julian and mushrooms into slices saute then on medium heat.
- Add 2 tbsp olive oil in a non stick pan add marinated chicken cook on high flame until it gets light brown color add 1/2 cup water and cover the pan let it simmer untill cooked take it off from the flame.
- Add butter in saucepan until it melts add flour and roast it slowly add milk and mix it continuously. Add 1-1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper and chicken stalk until it thickens mix in chicken and vegetables and sprinkle it oregano.
- Serve with mushrooms on top.
You guys have to know how much I love ANY pasta right. This sauce that I created was really a combination of a few ingredients I had in my pantry. Chicken breasts, mushrooms, cream, parmesan cheese and one tin of. Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil. Add pasta, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil and water to a large skillet.
